A Building Management System (BMS) is a computer-based control system installed in buildings that controls and monitors the building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems. A BMS consists of software and hardware; the software program, usually configured in a hierarchical manner, can be proprietary, using such protocols as C-bus, Profibus, and so on. Vendors are also producing BMSs that integrate using Internet protocols and open standards such as DeviceNet, SOAP, XML, BACnet, LonWorks and Modbus.

BMS systems, whilst ideal for Building Management Control, are not designed with metering and monitoring in mind, and are not capable of storing large amounts of real-time and historical data. Organisations such as the Carbon Trust advise running an existing BMS System alongside an integrated Energy Management System.

ENMAT provides easy, noninvasive integration solutions where existing BMS systems are installed, allowing the customer to save further money by reducing further hardware and installation costs.

ENMAT can provide all the tools you need to build a versatile wireless network on an existing system.

Our ENMAT Data Loggers can connects BMS, PLC and SCADA including other ModBus Master systems to the wireless network.

Also enables third party ModBus sensor/meter technology to communicate wirelessly. utilizing the Modbus protocol, connect via RS-485, USB or Ethernet-connection.

ENMAT Data Loggers can act as an intermediary between the BMS system and the metering infrastructure.

ENMAT Data Loggers can Send data to the BMS using the ModBus protocol at the same time sending data to the Enmat cloud based software.

We can integrate with systems such as Tac, Johnson Controls, Cylon, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and TREND
